State Delegate candidate (District 19) Hoan Dang is pleased to accept the endorsement of Montgomery County Councilmember George Leventhal (At-Large)
My family came to America as Vietnamese refugees in 1975 when I was 8 years old. We were helped by strangers and welcomed by Marylanders. I have lived in Montgomery County for 34 years, and for the past 25 years I have been a community volunteer and civic activist, because I have always felt the need to give back as well as a sense of duty to serve others.
In 1975, when Hoan Dang was a young boy, his family came to the United States as Vietnamese refugees and settled in Montgomery County, Maryland. He graduated from Walt Whitman High School where he lettered in varsity gymnastics and wrestling. He joined the Boy Scouts, rising to the rank of Eagle Scout.
